Kannada TV celebs Jeevan and Rachana die in a car crash

Jeevan and Rachana were reportedly on their way to Kukke Subramanya Temple when their car bumped into a parked truck.

In a tragic incident, popular Kannada TV stars Rachana and Jeevan lost their lives in a road accident on Thursday early morning near Magadi, fresh reports suggests. The celeb duo, who shared screen space in several TV shows such as Mahanadi, was reportedly on their way to Kukke Subramanya Temple when their car bumped into a parked truck. Both Jeevan (24) and Rachana (23) were killed on the spot. The celebs were headed to the temple to celebrate the birthday of another telly actor Karthik, reports added.

Jeevan and Rachana were accompanied by other cast and crew of Mahanadi serial such as Ranjith, Eric, Honnesh and Utthamm. The other members have sustained minor injuries, reports further said. The case has now been registered by the Magadi police, latest buzz suggests.

In a similar incident recently, actors Gagan Kang and Arjit Lavania who are known for their roles in Colors' mythological show Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai lost their lives in a road accident on Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway, a police official said. 

Gagan who was 38-year-old was driving the car but lost his control on vehicle at Manor in palghar district. The car rammed into the stationery trailer parked on the side of road and all died on the spot. Arjit was seated beside Gagan and reportedly a spot boy who was present along with them also died in the accident.
