And it's out! The first poster of Kangana Ranaut's 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' has finally been revealed. Keeping alive the spirit of freedom on India’s 72nd Independence Day, Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut lifted the curtains from the first poster of her much-awaited film Manikarnika.
The 'Queen' star, who plays the role of warrior queen Rani Laxmi Bai, looks fierce and aggressive in the first poster. Filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi took to social media to share the much anticipated first poster of the film.
The period drama also features Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Sonu Sood as Sadashiv and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkarbai. Earlier, on the death anniversary of Rani Laxmibai, the makers dropped a poster of Manikarnika, which shows Kangana Ranaut as the valiant queen of Jhansi. However, this first poster takes our breath away completely.
Also, Team Kangana Ranaut’s Instagram page shared a video some time back announcing the news that the teaser of the film will be out on August 15. In the video, the shutterbugs are clicking the actress and producer Kamal Jain when Kangana asked him to make the announcement. The video was shot by photojournalist Viral Bhayani.
The film, which was earlier supposed to release in April this year, will now hit the big screens on January 25, 2019. Apart from Kangana, Manikarnika also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood and Suresh Oberoi. The period drama is directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studious. It also marks the debut of popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who is playing Jhalkari Bai in the film.
