Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’s ne poster is out and as expected it is giving us a perfect glimpse of the fierce queen Rani Lakshmi Bai. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently tweeted a picture of Kangana on his Twitter account.

The teaser of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi will be released on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti. Rani Lakshmi Bai has been one of the first, fiercest warrior queens, who fought for independence against the British army – the makers felt this would be an apt day to launch the teaser of the film that captures the historic life story of the legendary queen.

Recently, the makers dropped the date to release Manikarnika’s teaser. Sharing another picture of Kangana Ranaut donning the regal avatar, they revealed that the teaser will be out on October 2nd, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Kangana had told a daily, "When you talk about Laxmibai, she was the general of an army. She was an extraordinary woman. How many battles she fought in the prime of her youth! She was like a killing machine. So it would be a shame to try to get into character superficially through clothes, make-up, hairstyles and jewellery. And if you give blood to play such a woman, it's worth it. To be honest, I'm only happy. You can t hope to immortalise the greatest warrior of all times without having a battle scar on your face."

Manikarnika also stars Zeeshan Ayyub, Ankita Lokhande, Suresh Oberoi, Jisshu Sengupta among others. The film is slated to release on January 25, 2019.

Manikarnika- The Queen of Jhansi which will clash with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 and Emraan Hashmi's Cheat India next Republic Day.
