In a shocking incident, Kangana Ranaut has suffered a leg injury in Jodhpur while shooting for her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The Simran actress her foot while performing a stunt on the sets of the film. Following the incident, she was rushed to a private hospital. According to reports, Kangana was shooting for a scene in which she had to jump from a wall on the top of a horse. However, she got injured after falling to the ground while attempting the scene.
“Kangana had a sprain in her right foot but there was no fracture. We applied a plaster cast and she was advised a week’s rest,” Dr Narendra Yadav of Goyal Hospital was quoted as saying to Hindustan Times.
Furthermore, it was reported that Kangana was discharged around 2 am on Wednesday and left for Mumbai in the afternoon to recover from the injury.
In July, Kangana suffered a head injury on the sets of Manikarnika. The actress was shooting a fight sequence with a sword when the mishap occurred. Kangana’s co-star for the film Nihar Pandya hit the actress on the forehead with a sword, which caused much bleeding. The actress was then, quickly rushed to Apollo hospital in the city where she got 15 stitches.
Speaking about the incident, Kangana Ranaut said, "I am a bit embarrassed to be thrilled to have a battle scar on my face. Also, people from my team have been telling me that it's like that Peshwa teeka that Manikarnika wore. It's a bit dramatic but I am excited that my face was covered in blood and I got a genuine and authentic glimpse of the Queen's life."
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will be directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain. Kangana Ranaut plays the title role of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai in the film, which is slated to release in April 2018.
