Actor Kamal Haasan has turned a year older today. Hours after his team announced that the actor won’t be celebrating the day, he posted his clarification on social media. The actor has decided to meet people affected by recent heavy rains in Chennai. He will start his day by visiting a medical camp, 20 km from the city.
Kamal enjoys huge fan following. Thus, his fans became disappointed when he came to know that the star won’t be celebrating his birthday. Kamal took to micro-blogging site Twitter and tweeted, “To those who love me and dislike the idea of my cancelling my birthday celebrations.”
He wrote, “Tomorrow is just another day if you just celebrate and fail to seize it. If we can make it better in pursuit of a cause then we become the change we seek.”
Earlier, the actor’s spokesperson stated, “This year he (Haasan) has decided not to celebrate his birthday while Chennai people are distressed by the rains. Instead he will be visiting a medical camp, set up by his Narpani Iyakkam (welfare movement) at Avadi.”
The actor will also be launching his mobile app today which he called the first step in his political journey.
On the professional front, Haasan in gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Viswaroopam 2.
