New Delhi: For quite long Bollywood is running on a said formula. For years, we have witnessed that older actors have romanced younger actresses on silver screen. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has done it, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has too, and so have many others.
On the other hand, we have rarely seen an actress romance a younger hero on the silver screen. In fact, most ladies bid adieu to their acting careers after they get married or have kids.
Actress Kajol, however, is setting all the right examples. She did not give up on her career post her marriage and is now all okay with romancing a younger actor.
During an interview with a leading daily, Kajol was asked about her views on working with an actor younger to her. She said,
“I am open to that. I have never refused a film, because of anyone else who is in it. It depends on the script and casting. We worry about who suits the script, rather than if they are big enough for the film.”

An optimistic Kajol also said that Bollywood is currently in one of its brightest phases. She said that the way the film industry is evolving is brilliant with realistic storylines, fresh pairings etc.
"I honestly feel that this is a fantastic time in the film industry. Everything is possible right now. We have finally achieved what Hollywood did, sixty years ago.” shared Kajol.
The one thing that has not changed for Kajol is the parameters she sets on her choice of films. “I don’t think the parameters have changed much since I started. They are pretty much the same. I am picky and choosy and I need something that I will believe in 300 percent, otherwise I don’t think it is worth taking up,”
Kajol said.
Now that Kajol has shared her opinions on romancing a younger actor, we are sure it would turn out to be great. We already know that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is doing it with Ranbir Kapoor, who is younger to her in the film, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. It is about time, we saw more of such couples on screen.
