On Thursday, actors and makers of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham were celebrating the 16th anniversary of this Karan Johar classic. Amitabh Bachchan and KJo were most nostalgic and shared a series of pictures on their social media. Soon after, the lead actress of the film, Kajol also shared a picture from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, revealing a fun fact.
The actress, in her caption, wrote: Wasn’t this taken when I got my finger caught in the door and I was three Combiflams down
She also narrated the painful incident that took place on the sets of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. She got her hands between the door and to tranquilize the pain, she took 3 combiflams. The picture was taken when she was under the effect of the pain killer. Can we figure it out from her face? No. We didn’t know all this while.
Karan Johar also dropped a reply on the picture saying, “Yes this was I remember you were in excruciating pain!!!”
Kajol’s professionalism is commendable. Instead of taking a day off, she dosed on pain killers to get herself going in the schedule.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was released in 2001 and received mixed reviews from the critics. However, it became the highest grosser Indian film worldwide in 2002. The record was broken by Karan Johar’s next film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna in 2006. It won several awards including 5 Filmfare Awards.
