The cinemas today have opened to two Big Bollywood movies Kaalakandi and Mukkabaaz. This Friday, the audience get to select between a dark comedy film and a sports drama. Both the films are very different from each other. One of the prime reasons you to watch Kaalakaandi is that it is the debut film of Akshat Verma, who wrote the groundbreaking 'Delhi Belly', a film that still appears on our favourites’ list. Meanwhile, Mukkabaaz is an Anurag Kashyap directorial which promises to a great treat for moviegoers, So, before you decide to go to the theatres, here’s a quick introduction and synopsis of the two big releases that have hit the floors this Friday.
Kaalakaandi
Saif Ali Khan may not have had a great 2017, what with his movies Chef and Rangoon, tanking so severely at the box office. 2018 seems to be a turning point for the Nawab of Bollywood. With just a day to go for the release of his much awaited movie,
Kaalakaandi has been directed by director Akshat Verma. He has proved time and again that he is a force to be reckoned with especially because of the different films he makes. He had previously written the script for Delhi Belly, a movie that changed the comedy genre in every way! The Kaalakaandi trailer has already started the debate of it being similar to Delhi Belly but as long as a compelling script is teamed up with good direction and a quality set of actors, we don’t really mind.
Mukkabaaz
Actor Vineet Kumar Singh impressed movie buffs with his performances in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Ugly. The actor will be paying the lead for the first time in Mukkabaaz. He underwent year-long boxing training to look convincing. Thus, it will be interesting to watch him conquering the silver screen.
Anurag has delivered some wonderful films that can be called different from the larger than life Bollywood films. The trailer of Mukkabaaz showcased that there is something good and fresh is waiting for them in the cinema halls.
