Actor Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ clashed with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ at the box office. Though the latter has already entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club, Hrithik’s film is yet to earn the big amount. The film has done a decent business but still couldn’t compete with ‘Raees’ in terms of box office collection.

Despite having lesser screens than Shah Rukh Khan starrer, ‘Kaabil’ has managed to earn Rs 90.30 crore till now. On the ninth day, the film fetched Rs 5 crore, according to early estimates and is expected to cross Rs 100 crore in the coming days. ‘Kaabil’ received a decent opening of Rs 10.43 crore but couldn’t compete with ‘Raees’ that collected a whopping amount of Rs 20.42 crore on its first day.

The box office clash of movies in India, seems, has affected the business of ‘Kaabil’.

The producer of ‘Kaabil’ Rakesh Roshan must be happy with the film’s business. The revenge drama also became the first movie to be screened in Pakistan post ban. ‘Raees’ will be released a week after ‘Kaabil’.

In Sanjay Gupta directorial venture, Hrithik worked opposite Yami Gautam for the first time. The film received positive response from the audience. Both the actors played the role of visually impaired people in the flick. Telly stars Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy were seen as antagonists in the movie.
