After mesmerising the audiences with 36 Vayadhinile last year, actress Jyothika’s next film Magalir Mattum, is slated to hit the screens on August 11. The makers are hopeful that the movie will attract movie buffs as it is the Independence Day weekend. Earlier, the film was scheduled for a May release but makers couldn’t find the right date. After the release date of Ajith’s Vivegam delayed to August 24, makers of Magalir Mattum decided to lock August 11.
Magalir Mattum is a woman centric film in which the actress will be seen playing the documentary filmmaker Prabhavati. In one of the posters of the film, Jyothika was seen riding a Royal Enfield bike. The director has kept many aspects of the film under folds.
Magalir Mattum has been bankrolled by Suriya. The film also features Saranya Ponvannan, Bhanupriya and Urvashi in pivotal roles. Speculations are rife that Suriya will play a cameo in the film.
Jyothika last film 36 Vayadhinile received positive response from the critics and she was appreciated for her performance.
Jyothika is a talented actress, who has worked in films like Kushi, Thirumalai, Kaaka Kaaka, Pachaikili Muthucharam and many more. SH ealo appeared in some Bollywood films like Doli Saja Ke Rakhna.
