Actor John Abraham has said that he wouldn’t think twice before smashing a man’s head who would deny a woman her place. John made this statement during a promotional event at his upcoming movie ‘Force 2’ with co-star Sonakshi Sinha.

The handsome actor was speaking about his equation with Sonakshi and his character in the movie.

In the movie, John plays the role of ACP Yashvardhan who didn’t like the idea that his boss was a female. He added that it is sad that men can’t take orders from women. Heaping praises on women, John said the fairer sex are strong, can multi-task, take decisions and have clarity on everything.

John , after pointing all the qualities of women, revealed that he took orders from women at home. He then said he wanted to see women taking charge of the system, and handling more power. He further added that if he were the leader of women liberation movement he would put men at their place.

“I don't wave a flag for women's lib, but I believe and practise gender equality,” said John.

Sonakshi, like John, too had amazing things to say about her co-star. The 29-year old actress said that no changes were made in her role to make the hero look better. She added that despite John also being the producer of ‘Force 2’ there wasn’t a single instance when she felt overpowered.

At a time when gender equality is widely being discussed in Bollywood, John’s treatment toward Sonakshi tells steps are being taken to bridge the gap.

Starring Tahir Raj Bhasin as an antagonist, ‘Force 2’ helmed by Abhinay Deo will hit theatres tomorrow.
