New Delhi: The tinselvile has been going through the break-up phase lately. Several celeb couples were seen calling it quits.
While we have a long list of couples who broke up this year, it was recently reported that another couple might be entering the break-up list.
We are talking about ‘Dhoom’ actor John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal.
It was reported that the couple is going through a rough phase and their wedding has hit the rock. Though the reason behind the rift is still not known, if the gossip mongers are to be believed, John and Priya were even said to be planning for a divorce.
However, when John was quizzed about his troubled marriage, the actor got miffed.
“I don't even feel like talking about this any longer. I mean, how long can I even continue clarifying things? Every other day, there is some rumour or the other. Let people say what they have to. I'm tired of repeating what I've already said. I'm tired of justifying things, telling people what is true and what is not,” John told a leading daily.
This is not the first time that rumours about rift in John-Priya’s relationship are doing the rounds. Earlier, just before the release of ‘Welcome Back’ it was speculated that the couple is heading for a separation.
However, at that time too John had rubbished the reports saying, “It's all crap. I just want to dismiss all of these baseless rumours. It's release time, and people have no better work to do right now. I hope my words are more important than theirs, as far as my life is concerned. My film releases in a week. And I understand that we need to create stories right now, but this is so unnecessary. Let's just dismiss this. This is just not true. This is ridiculous. There is absolutely no truth to it. There's nothing wrong in my personal space, and I think that should be enough for all those who have been thinking otherwise.”
John had married Priya, who is an investment banker, in December 2013 and announced his secret wedding on the New Year eve.
On the work front, John Abraham is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming movie ‘Dishoom’. Also starring Varun Dhawana and Jacqueline Fernandez, the movie is slated to hit the screens on July 29.
