Janhvi Kapoor, Dulquer Salmaan to work together in flight lieutenant Gunjan Saxena biopic
Ever since Janhvi Kapoor made her debut with Karan Johar's Dhadak, she has managed to hit headlines and turn heads with her sizzling looks. Despite Dhadak receiving lukewarm response from critics, Janhvi is being showered with projects from her launch pad Dharma Productions. The diva who has been finalised to play an important role in KJo's directorial Takht is also preparing for a biopic.
Janhvi will play the lead role in Indian Air Force officer Gunjan Saxena's biopic. Flight lieutenant Gunjan was posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. She not only evacuated injured soldiers from the war field flying through Kashmir but also experienced a brush with death while doing this. Janvhi has started prepping for her role and will be spending time with the brave lady.
A Mumbai Mirror report says, ''Janhvi will start prep in the next few days with basic flying lessons and sessions on how the Indian Air Force works and lives. She spent time with Gunjan a few months ago and will be meeting her again to understand her story better''.
Now the latest report suggests that Janhvi will be seen opposite Malayalam cinema actor Dulquer Salmaan in this flick. Dulquer, son of south star Mammootty has already made his debut with Karwaan and will also feature in Zoya Factor, opposite Sonam Kapoor. It will be quite exciting to see both the actors romancing on the screen.
On a related note, Janhvi recently appeared on Koffee With Karan season 6 along with his half-brother Arjun Kapoor. The episode was all about sibling love. Arjun and his sister Anshula Kapoor have always been with Janhvi and Khushi after the sudden demise of their mother Sridevi. Their emotional support turned out to be Janhvi's strength during the tragedy. In an interview with Filmfare, the diva said, ''. A significant figure in our lives- my mother- wasn’t there anymore. Whom could we rely on? So, Khushi and I found ourselves leaning on them. A strong trust was forged between us. They’re so chilled out, such gracious and strong people, who encourage you and are real with you. We’re blessed''.
