Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's gorgeous daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her dream debut with Karan Johar's Dhadak alongside Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter. The film is a Hindi adaptation of Marathi hit flick Sairat.
Though, there's still time before Janhvi's dream debut film hits the theatres, rumor mills are abuzz that the young actress is already being considered for a few more projects. Apparently, Janvhi has already got her second project even before the release of her first film.
A report in a leading daily suggests that Janhvi Kapoor shall screen space with Ranveer Singh in her next film. Titled Simmba, the Rohit Shetty directorial will be a remake of Telugu super hit movie Temper starring N.T. Rama Rao Junior. Janhvi is being considered to reprise Kajal Aggarwal's role and shall have more screen space than the Singham actress had in the original.
A source was quoted as saying, "Janhvi will be sharing a lot more screen space with Ranveer than Kajal Aggarwal in the original. Since Karan Johar is co-producing Simmba it was his idea to cast Janhvi. Boney had reservations about this project since he had seen the original and felt the heroine's role was limited in scope. But Karan who is mentoring Janhvi and launching her in Dhadak, assured Boney and Sridevi that a hardcore masala film with Rohit Shetty is just what Janhvi's career needs as its post-debut booster."
The film, a remake of the blockbuster Marathi film Sairat, is very close to the Dharma Productions head honcho, more so because it marks the debut of Janhvi and Ishaan. For the newcomers, Karan recently read out a love note on his show Calling Karan that he hosts for FM radio station, 104.8 Ishq.
"It's a new year which means new beginnings and time for new relationship goals. Dear Janhvi and Ishaan, you are going to embark on a new journey of stardom this year. You will face many firsts in 2018 from promotion to paparazzi to link-ups and trolling to fame and failures. You are going to see it all," Karan said.
