Jalebi trailer out: Mahesh Bhatt presents a love story that ‘goes beyond’ everything

After the first poster, the makers have now dropped Jalebi trailer featuring Varun Mitra and Rhea Chakraborty. Jalebi: The Everlasting Taste of Love tells you how to live in an age of bewilderment when the old stories have collapsed, and no new story has yet emerged to replace them, director Mahesh Bhatt was quoted as saying in an interview.

Taking to Twitter, Mahesh Bhatt shared Jalebi trailer with a caption that read, “Some love stories go beyond “....and they lived happily ever after.” Here’s the #JalebiTrailer”

Jalebi trailer is all about love and the hardship that goes in keeping the love strong and going. Varun and Rhea look impressive as they head towards a journey full of love as well as complications.

While Aisha (Rhea) belongs to a modern generation, and is sort of a workaholic, she is tired of staying at home after marriage with Varun and wishes to move to the city for a better future. Meanwhile, Varun refuses to leave his family. The most shocking part strikes in when Dev at the end of the trailer is shown to have gotten married to another woman, played by Digangana

The film will mark the directorial debut of Pushpdeep Bhardwaj and has been written by Kausar Munir. It also marks the Bollywood debut of TV actress Digangana Suryavanshi, who has starred in TV shows like Qubool Hai, Veera and reality show Bigg Boss.

Jalebi will be the production house's first film after 2017's Begum Jaan starring Vidya Balan. It was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on 31 August, however, the release date was postponed to 12 October.
