Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has reportedly denied appearing on Colors comedy show ‘Comedy Night Bachao’ to promote her upcoming movie Dishoom.
The ‘Kick’ actress is reportedly miffed with the racist comments on the show, which is being anchored by comedians Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek & Co.
She is being going around telling people that she had a terrible experience on Comey Nights Bachao when she last went there to promote Housefull 3.
"Jacqueline was extremely offended by Team Bachao’s racist remarks towards her Housefull 3 colleague Lisa Haydon; she felt that a lot of Lisa's portions were edited very meanly in a way that only the 'insult' remained and not the 'comedy'. So, while she didn't stage a walkout during her Housefull 3 promotions, Jacqueline was surely in no mood to do an encore for Dishoom,"
a source was quoted by an entertainment portal.
Notably, it’s not just Jacqueline but her Dishoom co-stars John Abraham and Varun Dhawan too have joined her in the protest.
"There is a very strong buzz about Dishoom and nonsensical insult is the last thing that the film's team wants,"
the source added.
Seeing the situation, film’s producer Sajid Nadidawala and director Rohit Dhawan have decided not to push their cast for the promotion.
Interestingly, a few days back Hrithik Roshan refused to appear on the first episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9 because Colors wanted him to do Bachao as well.
As per reports, the ‘Bang Bang’ actor was not comfortable with the format of the show and thus dropped the promotions of Mohenjo Daro as well.
Going by these reports, it’s sure that Bollywood is not so pleased with Colors show. Let’s see if the channel takes notice.
