Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is over the moon these days and she has all the reasons for this.
The actress has given two movies so far this year and both the movies have fared well at the box office. While her first release of the year ‘Housefull 3’ entered the coveted 100 crore club, her last release ‘Dishoom’ also did a commendable business and has earned Rs 69.50 crore so far.
While Jacqueline is riding high these days, looks like she is in a mood to cash in her success now.
The actress has recently made her small screen debut with ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9’, in which she is seen as a judge.
If the media reports are to be believed, the ‘Kick’ actress is charging a whopping Rs 1 crore per episode for the show.
“She could not resist the offer. She has been paid Rs 1 crore per episode,” a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.
However, Jacqueline, on the other hand has denied the reports saying, “It’s not true. The reason I signed on was that I wanted to reach out to more people. I felt I was still lacking in reach.”
She further added, “I wanted to be able to connect with that audience in the small towns and interiors — people who didn’t relate to me and my movies. My blockbuster hits have created a very glamorous image of me, which is not the real me. I never had a chance to play myself. With Jhalak..., I have that now. I wanted people to see that side of me.”
Jacqueline Fernandez will soon be seen on the silver screen in her upcoming movie ‘A Flying Jatt’ opposite Tiger Shroff. Directed by Remo D’Souza, the movie is scheduled to release on August 25.
