After the immense success of Baahubali 2, Bollywood films are struggling to earn good amount at the box office. Even superstars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t save their projects from dooming. After Salman compensated for the loss of Tubelight, distributers have reportedly requested Shah Rukh to follow the footsteps of his friend. If reports are to be believed, distributors have urged King Khan to reimburse for the losses of Jab Harry Met Sejal.
It was being said that NH Studioz has acquired all India rights of Jab Harry Met Sejal for Rs. 80 crores. As the collections of the film was not encouraging, distributers had to bear the losses. Reports were doing the rounds that distributors are asking for compensation as SRK has made profits from the pre-sale of satellite, music and digital rights of the film.
Few days back, Salman has reportedly paid back Rs 32.5 crore to the distributors after the debacle of Tubelight. It is yet to be seen if Shah Rukh follows the same suit.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab Harry Met Sejal features actress Anushka Sharma opposite SRK. The film opened to mixed reviews.
On a relate note, SRK will next be seen in Anand L. Rai’s untitled project alongside Anushka and Katrina Kaif.
