The tinsel town witnessed a starry night at 16th Indian Television Academy Awards (ITA) held in Mumbai on Sunday and quite obviously it was a grand one. The prestigious event was attended the bigwigs of the television industry and witnessed much of the expected wins.
Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi from ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, won the best jodi award, but they missed the awards show as they are currently shooting in Australia for the show.
Besides them, Rubina Dalaik’s popular show ‘Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ bagged three awards including best serial and best story. In fact Rubina, who is playing the role of eunuch in the show, is quite appreciated for her performance.
On the other hand, ‘Naagin’ fame Mouni Roy, who was all shines at the event, grabbed the 16th ITA Award for best popular actress.
Interestingly, Anil Kapoor, Ronit Roy and Shabbir Ahluwalia also grabbed the awards. Notably, India TV wins ITA Award for Best Hindi News Channel.
