Singer Sonu Nigam says that he is delight to comeback as judge in the seventh season of TV singing reality show "Indian Idol”.
The ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ singer feels that it is like a homecoming moment for him after being away from TV from five years.
"I have abstained from TV for half a decade and thus, getting back on Idol is like getting back to my roots," Nigam said in a statement.
The singer added: "We literally started the show in India in 2004. I was the only person who read the philosophy behind the format according to the creator Simon Cowell in his book 'I Don't Mean To Be Rude, But...'."
Sonu Nigam, also shared his excitement on Twitter about being a part of the Sony Entertainment Television’s talent show.
"For the family... Here's #maukekidastak. Congrats. We are back with 'Indian Idol'," he had tweeted.
While sonu’s spot as judge’s chair is finalized, etails about his co-judges are yet to be revealed. Also, the hosts and the show's premiere has been under the wraps as of now.
