Actress Sridevi, who was lately seen in MOM, has again talked about her rumoured rift with filmmaker SS Rajamouli saying that whatever happened is the past and she doesn’t hold any grudges against the ace director. The actress, who refused to work in Baahubali further said in an interview that the roles that she doesn’t play are irrelevant to her adding that it is important for her to find new challenges. It all started when the ace director revealed the reason Sridevi couldn’t become the part of Baahubali.
Rajamouli in an interview said that the actress, who was approached to play Sivagami, demanded a whopping amount of 8 crore for the film along with some VIP treatments. This didn’t go down well with the director and the role fell in Ramya Krishnan’s kitty.
Sridevi was very upset when she came to know about it. She said that she was hurt and saddened by the director’s statement. Later, Rajamouli admitted that it was his mistake to talk about the details in public.
Now, Sridevi’s latest comment is a proof that all is well between the two.
Both the instalment of Baahubali were praised by the audiences and did wonderful business at the box office. On the other hand, Sridevi’s MOM is doing a decent business at the box office. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film also features actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
