Actress Vidya Balan, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Begum Jaan’, recently thrashed the reports about her pregnancy saying that she is not a baby making machine. She also stated that it is annoying as it her personal matter and is none of anybody’s concern.
While talking to a leading daily, when the actress was asked about her frequent visits to hospitals, she became angry and said that she could go to doctor for her acne treatment too but people start speculating about pregnancy if a woman visits doctor after marriage. She added that it is her personal matter and people have nothing to do with it.
She narrated an incident about her marriage when one of her relatives asked her about her plans for baby. She added that it all happened before she and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur clicked their wedding pictures and their honeymoon destination was also not decided.
Vidya said, “What is this baby obsession? I am not a baby-making machine.”
The National Award winning actress bluntly said that she is not a baby making machine and looking at the growing population it is good if some people don’t want baby.
Directed by Srijit Mukherji, ‘Begum Jaan’ also stars Ila Arun, Gauahar Khan and Pallavi Sharda in key roles. The movie is slated to release on April 14.
