Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has already become one of the highly awaited movies of 2016. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead, the movie is based on the bygone era of the Indus Valley Civilsation.
With the involvement of a big banner and stars, the expectations from this movie have obviously soared high. Trade analysts are eager to know how much money this movie will rake in at the box office. The to be collections of this movie have gained more attention since this period drama will go head on with superstar Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’.
However, it seems that Hrithik’s movie might have got an upper hand at business. Wondering how?
Well, if media reports are to be believed the movie has already earned Rs 60 crores by selling its theatrical and music rights. Reportedly, the satellite rights of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ have been sold at an amount of Rs 45 crores and the music rights at a whooping amount of Rs 15 crores.

With such a collection, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has already covered half of its budget. The movie is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crore and almost 20 crore have been spent on print and advertising (P&A).
To land itself to a safe zone, the movie now has to earn close to Rs 70 cr, which if experts are to be believed, would not be difficult.
It is only on time to tell if ‘Rustom’ comes close to ‘Mohenjo Daro’ in the long run.
