New Delhi: Multi starrer movie ‘Housefull 3’ is on its way to a great weekend, something which the numbers from day one point out. The movie had a decent first day at the box office, earning Rs 15. 21 crores in India.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted this early today:
By earning such a huge amount of money on the first day itself, ‘Housefull 3’ has become the second highest opener of 2016, preceded by Fan. The thriller drama of superstar Shah Rukh Khan earned Rs 19. 20 crores on the first day, 15th April.
Interestingly, the third movie on the list of the highest openers is also Akshay Kumar’s Airlift.
Directed by Sajid and Farhad, ‘Housefull 3’ opened to mixed reviews. Many critics felt that the movie is a collaboration of mindless jokes while others felt that it is a family entertainer. The movie saw larger footfall in the evening and night shows.
‘Housefull 3’ released in 3700 screen across India and in 670 aboard.

Taran Adarsh tweeted that this third instalment of the Housefull franchisee is a must watch for those who don’t judge movies.
‘Housefull 3’ added another feat to its name by earning Rs 1.2 millions in UAE. Thus, it became the biggest non-Eid opener, defeating magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’ of last year.
It will be worth seeing if the coming weekend, make this movie one of the top grosser of 2016.
The ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Nargis Fakhri, Boman Irani, Chunky Pandey and Jackie Shroff; would definitely be happy with these numbers.
