Today, the veteran music director Himesh Reshammiya is celebrating his 44th birthday. It has been a long journey for the music maestro in Bollywood. All these years, Himesh has given us not one but many musical gifts like Tere Naam, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Kyon Ki, Aksar and many more. His musical journey is too long and vivid to be concluded in a single piece of writing. The actor has been actively involved in mentoring and judging the popular singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge on Zee TV. Currently, he’s on the jury of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs going on Zee Tv.
The music director won many awards for his contribution in music industry. He bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2006 for Aashiq Banaya Aapne. He also received Star Screen Award, IIFA Award, Zee Cine Award for this popular music track. He became the first ever Bollywood singer to have received a Filmfare Award for his debut song.

He also tried his hands in acting, which is not very impressive, to be precise enough. He tried venturing into acting with his first film Aap Ka Surroor which features Hansika Motwani in the female lead role. He was nominated under Best Actor category for this film at 2007 Filmfare and Stardust Award.
