Here’s what Aishwarya Rai said on husband Abhishek Bachchan’s two-year break from films

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan who was last seen in 2016 hit Housefull 3, is all set to make a comeback on the big screen next month with Manmarziyaan. And, doting wife and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is happy and excited. The Fanney Khan actress opened up on Abhishek’s two-year break from films saying that it was a good move Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan will feature together in Anurag Kashyap's next directorial venture titled Gulab Jamun.

In an interview with DNA, the actress talked about Abhishek Bachchan’s movie Manmarziyaan . She also said that Abhishek Bachchan's break from work was a good move. When asked what made her say yes to Gulab Jamun, she said, "I agreed on it early last year. At that time, Abhishek had taken a small break to review his work. It was a good move because I think every professional should do that. He just wanted to sit back and decide what he wanted to do next." (Click Here to Read This Story in Hindi)

"He chose Manmarziyaan then, and now with Anurag directing this one (Gulab Jamun) too, people have incidentally put it together and there have been a lot of re-mentions. We will set the plan to do this one soon”, Aishwarya Rai added.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Manmarziyaan also features Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.

The film will present versatile actor Vicky Kaushal in a never-before avatar. He’s playing a happy-go-lucky Punjabi boy who cares about nothing but himself. Taapsee Pannu aka Rumi is playing his love interest who is married off to a sincere gentleman Abhishek Bachchan in an arranged marriage setup.

The trailer of the film is already making a lot of noise among the Anurag Kashyap fans. Being written by Kashyap, viewers can expect an entirely different treatment of a seemingly normal love story.
