The heroine of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Padmavati’ has broken the silence and took to Twitter to react to the assault incident that took place on their sets in Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur on Friday.
The Mastani of Bollywood has confirmed that there is absolutely no distortion of facts in their period drama and is in a state of shock over whatever has happened in Jaipur.
Bhansali was slapped, beaten and his hair was pulled by members of the Rajput Karni Sena, who stormed the shoot at Jaigarh Fort, according to reports.
They shouted protests and alleged that the film has love scenes between Queen Padmini and ruler Alauddin Khilji, played by actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
For the second schedule of Padmavati shooting, all the actors were all set to join the director at Jaipur.
Just yesterday Deepika returned from the US, after completing promotions for her Hollywood debut, xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
It was reported that Deepika will mostly start shooting for the film on January 29, according to the Twitter handle of Bhansali production. All three actors were supposed to assemble for the second schedule at the Pink city. However, with this incident that has occurred, the location might be changed.
