Actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli tied the knot on December 11 in Italy. Their wedding came as a pleasant surprise for all their fans the congratulatory messages started to flood in for the couple. Celebrities from cricket and entertainment world wished the stars and Virushka ki Shadi became the top trends on social media. It was quite difficult for the couple to pull of this secret wedding. Speculations about their wedding were rife from quite some time but nothing was confirmed.
When Anushka along with her family and priest was spotted at the airport, it was almost confirmed that the wedding is going to take place. It is being said that the marriage was fixed a year ago by Anushka and Virat’s family in Sri Lanka. Wedding planners Shaadi Squad confessed that the luxurious marriage was the result of hard work, midnight meetings and secret discussions.
The bride and groom wore Sabyasachi ensembles. The actress looked drop dead gorgeous in a pale pink lehenga whereas the cricketer donned silk sherwani. Their pictures from the mehendi ceremony and engagement were too dreamy.
Chef Ritu Dalmia took care of the food at the wedding. The guests were served some mouth-watering Indian and Italian delicacies.
Well, it is hard to believe that one of the most eligible bachelors of the country is taken now. The stars will host a reception for their family members in Delhi on December 21 which will be followed by a grand party in Mumbai on December 26.
The couple will be celebrating its New Year in South Africa and after coming back, Anushka will fulfil her work commitments.
