Filmmaker Mohit Suri, who has completed the shooting of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’ has dropped author Chetan Bhagat’s narration in the film. The movie is based Chetan’s novel ‘Half Girlfriend’.

If reports are to be believed, then Chetan who was the narrator in his novel will not be appear in the cinematic adaptation. But this didn’t make the writer unhappy as the makers already informed him about the same before the film went on the floors. In fact, Chetan gave full support to the director.

In the novel, the author was the narrator of the story. But sometimes in order to make film interesting or to match with the time limit, director have to take some actions. However, this didn’t make Chetan upset.

Arjun and Shraddha are sharing screen space for the first time in the film. This is the second-time Arjun is working in the film that is based on Bhagat’s novel. Previously he also featured in ‘2 States’.

Lately Chetan was in the news when he announced on social media that he was turning gears from writing. He was trolled for the same on social media. People made fun of his writing with their funny tweets.

The trailer of ‘Half Girlfriend’ is expected to come out by the end of the month. The movie is slated to release on May 19.
