The first poster of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Half-Girlfriend’ is out and it shows both the actors romancing in rain. The film is the adaptation of author Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same title. The poster looks similar to Shraddha’s previous films ‘Ok Jaanu’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’.
The poster was today shared by Arjun in which he was seen holding Shraddha’s hand in rain. He tweeted, “A journey well begun is half done !!! Sharing the first poster of #Halfgirlfriend a film very close to my heart can't wait for #19thMay.”
Needless to say, both the actors are looking love struck but the poster has similarities with ‘Ok Jaanu’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’. As in both the movies the lead actors were seen romancing in rain. It seems that makers have adapted the successful formulae of showcasing principle characters in rain to attract the audience. But in doing so, they lost the innovation as the poster has not got something new.
In ‘Ok Jaanu’ Shraddha was seen romancing Aditya Roy Kapoor in rain whereas who can forget the iconic pose of ‘Aashiqui 2’. The fate of both the movies is known to everyone. Now, it is yet to be seen if Shraddha and Arjun makes place in people’s heart.
Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Half-Girlfriend’ is slated to release on May 19.
