Ranveer Singh’s take on society in Gully Boy's new song Doori
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has created quite a buzz among the fans because of an interesting story of a rapper as well as the feet-tapping songs it has been coming out with. After launching the Gully Boy Jukebox at a grand event in Mumbai, the makers of the film have released another enticing track from the film starring Ranveer Singh and we can’t help but say that we are in love with this one as well.
Gully boy song titled Doori is a take on society in a subtle way. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh has sung the song and his stellar rapping skills are on a display yet again. The song starts with the actor in a recording studio while Alia Bhatt, his girlfriend in the film, waits for him outside and then the scenes transfers to various other places like a building, a railway stations and others. Announcing the song release, Ranveer Singh took to his social media and wrote, "#Doori out now! #Gullyboy. LINK IN BIO." Check it out here:
Ranveer Singh is seen in a rapper avatar in his upcoming film Gully Boy and the actor himself revealed that he had an affinity towards the genre since his childhood and loves music by Eminem. "Hip-hop is something that's very alive inside me and always has been ever since I was a kid. I have a natural affinity and inclination towards it and I was thrilled to be in Zoya's film because I had always wanted to do such a film," Ranveer said in a statement to IANS.
Known for his eclectic dressing, some of Ranveer's earlier fashion statements were also inspired by the rappers. "I used to go through phases where I used to dress like rappers - wear baggy jeans, oversized jerseys."
Gully Boy will see the fresh pairing of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh onscreen. Alia and Kalki Koechlin, play contrasting love interests. While Alia will be seen playing a lively young girl from a background similar to that of Ranveer Sing's character in the film. Kalki will portray the success he aspires to. Gully Boy is slated to release on February 14.
