Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again squashes Baahubali 2’s box office records! Here’s what Rohit Shetty’s film earned

After showing a fabulous performance on domestic box office, Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again has earned a badge of honour in overseas as well. After swiftly entering the 200 crore club in India, the film has now squashed the gargantuan box office records of Prabhas’ Baahubali 2. Yes, you read it right! Golmaal Again becomes the highest grossing film in Fiji and earning that, it breaks the record of mega-blockbuster Baahubali 2. Rohit Shetty’s comedy-drama film has been welcomed with open arms among Indian audience. Now it seems, that Golmaal Again has proved its mettle overseas as well.

According to the reports, Golmaal Again has by far collected $235,440 and has set amazing box office records in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Saturday tweeted about the new record Golmaal Again has made. He wrote: This is BIGGG… #GolmaalAgain continues to break records… Becomes HIGHEST GROSSING *Indian film* in Fiji… Crosses #Baahubali2 in Fiji… Total so far: $ 235,440… Distributed in Australia, NZ and Fiji by Mind Blowing Films.”

Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again is the fourth instalment to Golmaal franchise. Rohit Shetty came out with the fourth part of superhit Golmaal series after 7 years. It crossed the 200-cr mark and hopped the bandwagon of double century league. In this part of Golmaal, Kareena Kapoor Khan was replaced by Parineeti Chopra. Tabu was also seen in the movie. Neil Nitin Mukesh played the antagonist in the film along with National Award-winner Prakash Raj. The film was released a day after Aamir Khan’s  Secret Superstar which starred Dangal fame Zaira Wasim.

Golmaal Again released on 4232 screens worldwide. It overwhelmed the audience with its light-hearted comedy with a tinge of horror. It also made its way into the list of ’10 all-time grosser list’ with likes of Raees, Kaabil, Jolly LLB 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Baahubali 2, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Judwaa 2. It also became the highest Bollywood grosser of the year followed by Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2.
