New Delhi: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty on Thursday announced on that the fourth instalment of the hit franchisee Golmaal will hit silver screens on Diwali 2017. Rohit broke this amazing news on the day when the first movie Golmaal completed 10 years since its release and confirmed that Ajay Devgn will feature in it.
What makes this even more exciting is that actor Ajay Devgn too will be part of this movie just like the previous three ones. This will be the sixth movie of the duo Ajay and Rohit together preceded by "Zameen," "Golmaal," "Golmaal Returns," "Singham," "Golmaal 3," and "Singham Returns."
But apart from the news that the film is happening, we also have some other details for you.
Grapevine is abuzz that Kareena Kapoor Khan will not be a part of the film owing to her pregnancy. It was reported a few months ago that Bebo has in fact given a nod for it, but a source close to the actress confirmed to an entertainment portal that she is no longer a part of it. The only film she will be shooting as of now is Rhea Kapoor’s ‘Veere Di Wedding’ and a few other commercials, reportedly. She will take maternity leave from October, suggest reports. Due to Kareena’s backing out, the makers are on a searching spree to find their leading lady.

Apart from Kareena, not much has changed in the cast of Golmaal 4 since its predecessor released six years ago. Reportedly Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade will be reprising their roles. The story of the Golmaal 4 is being penned down by writer-director duo Sajid- Farhad. News surfaced that the story of ‘Golmaal 4’ is close to hit Tamil film "Soodhu Kavvum." But the spokesperson of the movie rubbished these rumours in a statement to press which read, “We would like to state that the news is completely untrue and baseless.”
Well, all we have to do now is wait and see if the success of first three movies of Golmaal is repeated again. While time will tell about it, Twitter users and fans of the franchisee failed to contain their excitement. The hashtag #GolmaalAgainDiwali2017 started trending on Twitter. The way users religiously tweeted about the movie tells a lot that about them expecting yet another super hit from the duo of Rohit and Ajay.
