Akshay Kumar's Gold Trailer Out

After teasing the fans with posters of his upcoming film Gold, Akshay Kumar and makers have released the trailer of the much-awaited film and all we can say is Akshay Kumar is love. The man gives his 100 per cent to fight for the honour of the country and we can’t help but praise him for his efforts.

From the teaser and the posters, one is forced to think that the movie revolves around hockey but the trailer shows that the storyline of the film has a much deeper meaning than just playing the game. The 2 minutes 18 seconds trailer traces the struggles of Tapan Das (Akshay Kumar) to fight for India’s gold medal in hockey but also make it free from the British shadow. Akshay Kumar takes us back in time to depict how the hockey team struggled to make the nation proud. Apart from Akshay, the trailer shows phenomenal actors like Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal in action. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, watch it here:

The sports drama clearly shows how Tapan Das had to do his best to bring together a team and win a gold medal for India after a struggle of 12 years. Other than Akshay, who turns heads in the trailer is Mouni Roy, who looks ravishing as a Bengali woman. She plays Akshay’s wife in Gold.

To bring in the feel of the pre-independence era, the movie has been shot across the UK and India. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Gold is helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the 15th August 2018.

The movie will clash with John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate.
