Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Gold’s teaser is out now. On Monday, the PadMan actor took to social media to drop the teaser of his much-anticipated film Gold. The film features Mouni Roy apart from the superstar himself. With this movie, Mouni will be making her Bollywood debut. The film has been helmed by Reema Kagti and bankrolled by Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It will be the first time Akshay Kumar is signing a project with Excel Entertainment.

In the one-minute clip, Akshay Kumar as Balbir Singh has taken up the task of making a team for bringing independent India’s first gold medal in 1948 London Olympics. We can catch a short glimpse of Naagin actress Mouni Roy for a second in the film. Also, Amit Sadh is spotted as one of the team players.

Reema Kagti’s Gold is expected to release on Independence Day this year. The shooting for the film has been wrapped up in December last year. Gold features Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal alongside Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy. Last year, a picture of Akshay Kumar from the sets of Gold was leaked online. In the picture, he was seen wearing a black and white attire surrounded by crew members of the film. The first leg of the film was shot in London last year, finally concluding the shooting in Patiala.
