Akshay Kumar has stirred a sense of patriotism in every Indian citizen since the moment his upcoming movie, Gold’s trailer dropped online. Like Akshay Kumar aka Tapan Das, every individual is filled with the passion of taking the country to new heights. To keep that fire burning, the makers of gold have released a new dialogue promo of the movie in which Akshay Kumar looks determined to write India’s name in golden letters on the World map.
In the new video, Akshay Kumar is seen taking his proposal of the hockey team to the authorities. The moment one of the members try to insult him, Tapan Das fights back saying, ‘apne naam ka baat nai kar rha hai mai, desh ke naam ka baat kar rha hai.’ Akshay speaks crisp Bengali accent in the promo. Talking about the same in an interview earlier, Akshay revealed, “I worked closely with our dialect coach. I have stayed in Kolkata for two years which actually helped me to play the character, its body language etc. I tried to speak with a Bengali accent… (but) I tried not to make it a caricature.”

Just recently, Excel Entertainment also released a video talking about Akshay Kumar's character and his transformation. The video shows how the actor amused everyone on and off screen. Akshay's look for the film comprised dhoti-kurta along with a jacket, moustache and a different hairdo. Revealing about the character, director Kagti says that the character is alcoholic and argumentative. Akshay's co-stars also divulge many secrets about him. While Kunal Kapoor calls him physically active, Vineet Kumar Singh mentioned his habit of playing pranks on co-stars.
Talking about Gold, Akshay has said, “People should know what happened in 1948… How we won the first Olympic gold medal in hockey after the independence of India. I think things also have changed because the government is supporting the sport a lot, the number of medals are increasing in the game, so I am happy seeing the encouragement.”
Along with Akshay Kumar, Gold also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal. The film is set to release on 15th August along with John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate.
