Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy in Gold
After watching the trailer of Reema Kagti’s upcoming movie Gold, fans have fallen in love with the cute chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy. The duo plays husband-wife in the movie and going by the trailer, their scenes are loaded with cute little banters which are making the audience fall in love with them.
To make fans root all the more for his new Jodi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar shared a behind-the-scenes video in which he is seen playing a prank on Mouni Roy which eventually made her cry. Akshay shared the video with the caption, “@Roymouni your reaction was #Gold! Still remains the best prank played on you”
In the video, Akshay Kumar, who is famous for his mischievous side, posed as a BBC reporter and pranked Mouni by recording her conversation about working with the superstar and the London weather. Later when she realized that the BBC reporter was actually Akshay, she got really pissed and eventually started crying.
Akshay, in the video, also talks about how good Mouni Roy is as a Bengali wife in the movie. In fact, Akshay would even prefer giving her the Best Husband Beater Award as she has beaten him a lot in the film. Talking about the beating scenes, even Mouni reveals how she would beat him lightly in the starting and Akshay Kumar would tell her to do it properly. Later, she got totally into the character.
When Akshay Kumar shared the video on his Twitter, Mouni Roy also replied to his caption and said, “Still thinking of a way to get back. Someoneeeeeeeee needs to prank you soonest.”
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Gold is helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the 15th August 2018. The movie will clash with John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate.
