Kajol's Helicopter Eela, Tumbbad, Jalebi and Govinda's FryDay release today
Friday is here and we know Bollywood buffs have geared up to satiate their hunger with cinematic pleasure. Well, October 12 has no such big releases but a number of small movies that will hit theaters. From slice-of-life drama Helicopter Eela and horror Tumbbad to love story Jalebi and comedy FryDay, get ready to explore different genres.
Helicopter Eela
Kajol starrer Helicopter Eela has been directed by Pradeep Sarkar. The actress plays a protective and possessive single mother and an aspiring singer in the film. The role of her son is essayed by National Award-winning actor Riddhi Sen. Kajol launched the trailer of Helicopter Eela on her 44th birthday. The comedy-drama, which reinvents the process of parenting also has Neha Dhupia and Tota Roy Chowdhary. Check out the trailer below:
FryDay
Comedy king Govinda and our favourite Choocha Varun Sharma have collaborated to give us a laugh riot. FryDay, which is releasing today promises to tickle funny bones. Directed by Abhishek Dogra, who has also helmed Dolly Ki Doli, FryDay was earlier scheduled to release on May 11. Varun, whose last release Fukrey Returns minted over Rs 100 crore at the box office is known for his cute looks and perfect comic timing. On the other hand, Govinda's last film Aa Gaya Hero tanked at the box office. Here's the trailer:
Tumbbad
Sohum Shah starrer Tumbbad which has been produced by Aanand L Rai is a horror fantasy. The movie which talks about human greed revolves around three generations of a Brahmin family. Also featuring, Dhundhiraj Prabhakar Jogalekar, Jyoti Malshe, Anita Date, Deepak Damle, Ronjini Chakraborty and Mohammad Samad, Tumbbad promises to be a rare kind of horror. Check out the trailer:
Jalebi
Jalebi produced by Mahesh Bhatt is a new age love story. Featuring Varun Mitra and Rhea Chakraborty, the film is a tale of hardships that one faces in a relationship. The movie has been directed by debutant Pushpdeep Bhardwaj and has been written by Kausar Munir. Taking to Twitter, Mahesh Bhatt shared Jalebi trailer with a caption that reads, “Some love stories go beyond “....and they lived happily ever after.” Here’s the #JalebiTrailer”
