The Baahubali 2 success has taken everyone by storm and even foreign media can’t seem to keep calm. SS Rajamouli’s film has become the talk of the town for media across the globe.
The Prabhas starrer film has created waves in the US and a report on the Wall Street Journal’s website says it all.
International trade gurus were asked to comment on the film’s success at the US box office. And their response will definitely make you feel proud as an Indian.
Greg Foster, the CEO of IMAX was all praise for Baahubali: The Conclusion and said that they are simply stunned at the stupendous success of the film.
“This clearly turned into an event. When you have full houses on Thursday night, on something that was unbelievably viral in how the information was disseminated to the Indian diaspora, you’re tapping into something”, Greg said.
The highlight was when the article added how the film was India’s very own Star Wars franchise.
Baahubali 2 opened in just 425 screens in North America and earned a massive record and even beat Tom Hanks and Emma Watson’s Circle and Boss Baby.
Another media analyst Paul Dergarabedian said that there was a passionate fan base and huge demand for these stylized works of cinema.
“The fact that a massive theater chain like AMC showcased the film, and broke records, could open the door to an expansion of the release of these Bollywood/Tollywood gems, and bring them a more mainstream audience”, the expert said.
Baahubali: The Conclusion is creating tornado at the box office. The movie has grossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide. Along with Prabhas, the flick also featured Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
