Critically acclaimed filmmaker, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra took to micro-blogging site, Twitter to release the first poster of his upcoming flick Mere Pyare Prime Minister. Unveiling it on World Toilet Day that falls on November 19, Mehra tweeted, ''#MereyPyareyPrimeminister- here is the first poster on #Worldtoiletday2017 -@PMOIndia - meri arzi aapki marzi''.
In the poster we can see a little boy pointing towards a sketch on the wall depicting toilet meant for women. The boy is with his mother essayed by National Award winning Marathi actress Anjali Pathak. They both have broad smile on their face. Check out the poster below:
The 54-year-old director said that it is a story of a single-mother whose eight-year-old boy wants to build a toilet for her. Highlighting the issue of open defecation, the movie is second flick revolving around the burning subject of lack of toilets. Mere Pyare Prime Minister is set in the backdrop of the slums of Mumbai.
Earlier, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha starring Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar narrated the story around the problem of open defecation. The movie ended the dry spell at box office minting almost Rs 100 crore.
