Lately reports that actor Fawad Khan was roped in for ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ have been doing rounds of media. On the rumours of his part being chopped off from the biopic, the makers have said that this was not case. Dismissing all rumours, the makers released a statement saying that the Paksiatni heartthrob was never a part of the movie.
It was suggested that after the Uri terror attacks and the demand of ban of Pakistani artistes, the makers cut Fawad’s part to avoid controversy. It was said that he had shot for the part and was to play cricketer Virat Kohli in the biopic of Indian skipper for limited overs Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
“Fawad Khan was never part of the film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Even when we were casting the movie, he was not in the consideration set. Dhoni is an extremely realistic biopic and we have been true to that even in our casting,” Fox Star Studios spokesman said in a statement.
The film, which released last week, stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role besides Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Anupam Kher and Bhumika Chawla.
