Fanney Khan Box Office Prediction: Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer expected open at Rs 4-5 crore

Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Fanney Khan is all set to release this Friday, that is on 3rd August, 2018. The film generated a mass excitement as Anil Kapoor is sharing screen space with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after nearly two decades. The duo starred in a film together back in 2000, where the former Miss World played the role of a rape victim. After 17 years, they are coming back together for Atul Manjrekar’s slice-of-life drama. As the buzz is high around the film, Fanney Khan is expected to do good business on its opening day.

As per our prediction, Fanney Khan is expected to rake in Rs 4-5 crore on its opening day. The business of the film also relies on the number of releases this week. As we told earlier, this Friday will witness the release of three films; Mulk and Karwaan apart from Fanney Khan. This might affect the box office numbers for the Anil Kapoor-starrer. However, owing to its stellar star cast and strong subject, it is expected to do better than the films releasing this Friday.

On the other hand, Taapsee Pannu and Rishi Kapoor-starrer, that is getting rave reviews from the critics around the country, is also expected to open on a decent note. The positive words from the critics are definitely going to up the box office numbers for this Anubhav Sinha-directorial. As per the buzz and positive reviews, Mulk is expected to mint around Rs 2 crore at the box office on its opening day.

Our film critic writes: All in all, Mulk is a must-watch and definitely a reality-check about something that’s happening around us more often than we admit.

Irrfan Khan-starrer Karwaan is expected to rake around Rs 2.5 crore owing to the buzz around lead actor Irrfan Khan. The audience has always found a delight to watch Irrfan on screens. The natural actor is definitely a crowd-puller.

Our film critic writes: Karwaan will connect you to the soul level if you’ve been missing such slice-of-life films in Bollywood. You will find yourself smiling foolishly throughout the film, and that’s where it wins.

Fanney Khan is an emotional drama based on the life of a struggling middle-class man played by Anil Kapoor who aspires to see her daughter as a popstar. His daughter (Pihu Sand) is often ridiculed by her peers for being on the heavier side. In order to raise money for her first recording, the father kidnaps Baby Singh (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). Rajkummar Rao will be romancing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the first time in Fanney Khan. A romantic track, which is a rehashed version of Halka Halka has been dropped by the makers a couple of weeks ago. It displays the sweet moments between Aishwarya and Rajkummar who are growing fond of each other while the former is held captive.
