New Delhi: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is on the toes these days and it is because of his forthcoming movie ‘Azhar’, which happens to be his first release this year.

Helmed by Tony D'Souza, ‘Azhar’ is a biopic on the life former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, also focussing on his rising career, love life, match fixing scandal and his downfall.

The cricketer is participating actively in promoting the movie. In fact he is seen at several public events and shows along with Emraan as they give interviews about the movie.

However, recently, Azharuddin came across an awkward situation which made him leave the interview in between.

During a promotional event of ‘Azhar’, the former cricketer came across few hard questions about the match-fixing controversy. While he refused to answer any of them, the questions did upset Azharuddin after which he walked out of the interviews.

In fact, he not just refused to return for the event but has taken a back-foot from a major show related to the movie.

“It’s for the same reason that he’s also refused to be part of a major show hosted by another news channel as he doesn’t want to be asked hard-nosed questions at all,” a source reportedly told a leading daily.

‘Azhar’ also starring Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri, will hit the screens on May 13.
