Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has created a lot of buzz due to its 'unexpected romance'. Now, the much-awaited song of the film is out and it can definitely be called 'wedding song of the year'. Rochak Kohli has recreated the feet-tapping Punjabi number, Gud Naal Ishq Mitha, that released eighteen years ago for the movie. In the video of the latest song, the father-daughter duo can be seen grooving on the wedding festivities.

The latest Gud Naal Ishq Mitha track has all the components to be played on the loop. Besides taking you down the memory lane, the song will also make you shake a leg. The song has been crooned by Harshdeep Kaur and Navraj Hans and lyrics have been penned by Gurpreet Saini. Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram to share the song with caption: ''This wedding season, sway to the song about sweet love''. Check out the song below:

The original song marked the debut of Malaika Arora. The 90s track by Bally Sagoo and Malkit Singh also featured actor Jas Arora. The hit peppy number was earlier recreated for 2015 film, I Love New Year starring Sunny Deol and Kangana Ranaut.

Earlier, the makers dropped a rehashed version of the evergreen love ballad, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga from 1942: A Love Story. The 1994 movie directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra had Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala in lead roles.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is the first commercial Bollywood film to talk about same-sex love. Regina Cassandra, a South Indian actress will be playing Sonam's love interest in the film. The movie also stars Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, Abhishek Duhan, Seema Pahwa, Madhumalti & Brijendra Kala in important roles. It has been directed by debutante Shelly Chopra Dhar. Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is set to release on February 1, 2019.
