Anil Kapoor who is working with his son Harshvardhan Kapoor in Abhinav Bindra's biopic will next be seen sharing screen space with his daughter Sonam Kapoor. We already know that the father-daughter duo will be seen together in film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga which is directorial debut of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's sister Shelly Dhar.
Now the latest development is that Rajkummar Rao has joined the cast of the movie and will be seen opposite Sonam for the first time. Also, much to your delight, the movie will also mark the reunion of star jodi Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. The jodi was last seen in 2007 in Salaam-e-Ishq. The movie is said to be a family drama with comedy. Anil and Juhi will reportedly play the roles of Sonam's parents. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the release date of the movie, i.e., 12th October, 2018. He tweeted, ''#EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga gets a release date: 12 Oct 2018... Stars Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao... Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani Films... Directorial debut of Shelly Chopra Dhar... Debutant Shelly spoke to media about her upcoming film. She said, “I just came back from a meeting with Anil and he is like a kid, extremely excited about his role. His character sports a look that hasn’t been seen on him in a long time. We will be shooting at a family house in Patiala, which is perfect setting for the film. I am shooting entirely at real locations as I want the film to develop as organically as possible. We can’t wait to start rolling now.” She further added, “But Anil is also really looking forward to the outing. While I have all his costumes in place, he insisted on bringing his own stuff too.”
Sonam who has been in the industry for last 10 years will be seen working with her dad for the first time. Also, it will Anil's third reunion with his old co-actresses after Fanne Khan and Total Dhamaal. While he will be seen with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanne Khan, the actor will share the screen space with Madhuri Dixit in Total Dhamaal.
On a related note, Sonam is awaiting the release of her film PadMan, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte. On the other hand, Rajkummar who had an awesome 2017 with two Filmfare Awards in his kitty has good number of films lined up.
