Renowned personalities of the film fraternity took to micro-blogging website Twitter on Tuesday to send best wishes for Dusshera. The celebrities urged fans to rejoice in the motto of the festival which is- victory of good over evil.
Dusshera marks the end of the Navratri festival. According to Hindu Mythology it was on this day that Lord Rama killed the devil Ravana. The demon Ravana had abducted Lord Rama’s wife Goddess Sita after which a war had taken place.
This festival is celebrated with a lot of fervour across the nation. Ramleelas which tell the entire story of Ramayana are enacted in various parts.
