New Delhi: Television actress Divyanka Tripathi is over the moon these days. The actress got married to beau Vivek Dahiya yesterday in a grand wedding.
The wedding was held in Bhopal and Divyanka looked stunning as the perfect, happy bride.
Dressed in a stunning red-and-gold lehenga and heavy gold jewellery, Divyanka looked no less than a diva. On the other hand, groom Vivek complemented her wearing a cream sherwani with a maroon stole and teamed it up with cream safa.
Post her wedding, Mrs. Divyanka Dahiya spoke about her D-Day and her happiness to a leading daily. She said, “Nothing scares me about marriage. It is beautiful to see two people in a lasting relationship. Every match is made in heaven and I feel lucky to find my life partner in a person with whom I'd love to spend my entire life. A person has to be truly blessed for such a union. Fortunately, I have seen only successful and motivating relationships around me that inspired me to get married. I am now looking forward to a happy married life with Vivek”.
Wedding jitters
The ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actress confessed that just like any other bride, she was also having butterflies in her stomach.
“I had wedding jitters when I was in Mumbai, but I was at ease once I reached Bhopal. I enjoyed all the rituals and danced the most. I am the happiest bride on earth,” Divyanka said.
Dress coordination with Vivek
Divyanka spoke about how she couldn’t match her wedding attire with that of Vivek’s. She said, “My wedding dress wasn't delivered to me on time, so I couldn't coordinate it with Vivek's”.
Reception dress
Divyanka also revealed her wedding reception dress saying, “My outfit for the reception will be red because I want to be a typical Indian bride. And what better than red for that? Besides, the colour also suits me.”
Thoughts about marrying an actor
Divyana said, “Earlier, I thought it would be better for an actress to marry a businessman or a person from other profession as it offers more stability. But then I realised that if I marry someone who doesn't belong to the same industry, he wouldn't understand my erratic schedules and also the norms of the glamour industry. You tend to relate to the other person better if you understand their professional needs.”
Divyanka’s thumb rule post wedding
The actress stated that she has made a rule for herself post wedding that she’ll never sleep over an argument. “I won't sleep until I have resolved an issue with my husband. I can never lie to my partner. Even if the truth is harsh, I'll break it to my partner, but won't lie."
Divyanka's family has also shared some pearls of wisdom with her. "My sister advised that I should give enough respect to my husband's family. My mother advised me that I should not keep complaining about my husband all the time as women tend to crib. My father told me to never let ego come in between our relationship." Divyanka said.
