Mumbai: Actor Varun Dhawan is all set to sizzle at the silver screen in upcoming movie ‘Dhishoom’ alongside John Abraham. The trailer of the movie saw Varun and John doing hardcore action sequences with ease; however, reality was quite different.

At a promotional event, recently, Varun revealed that he faked confidence during the shoot of the helicopter sequence in the movie.

Terming the sequence as scary and crazy, Varun said, “I’ve never had such an adrenaline rush in my life. I was hanging on to the helicopter and all I had was John (Abraham), who is on my left and I kept looking at John like that.”

The scene sees Varun and John dressed in jumpsuits, hanging from a helicopter and chasing a car. The helicopter moved at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour and moved just about right feet above the ground.

John said, “I had to make sure that we’ve strapped him well, so he doesn’t get hurt. And after he was strapped in, I used to go and check everything.” John would also keep asking Varun if he was okay by showing a thumbs up sign.

Dishoom makers spend Rs 3 crores on an action sequence, making it Bollywood’s costliest one

But Varun said, “I don’t know how to react, how do you react when you’re in the air and you’re just hanging off the helicopter and someone’s asking me ‘you’re okay?’ Honestly I faked the whole thing, because we have the action director in, so this is a two hero film. I’m a hero after all, so some confidence I have to show.

So when the other hero is behaving like everything is cool, everything is fine, I would just say that (actually worried) yes, I am good, man.”

Another scene from the film was also difficult for Varun, the scene featuring him hanging upside down to kiss Jacqueline, like a scene in the film “Spiderman”.

About the scene, Varun said, “I in fact had a lot of blood rushing to my head during that time, I realized that it was probably not easy for Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield to play Spiderman. It’s difficult to hang upside down.”

Dishoom, has been directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
