New Delhi: From what the trailer looks like, ‘Dishoom’ could turn out to another film where actor John Abraham broods and flaunts his chiseled body. And it could also very much turn out to be the film where Varun Dhawan tries to balance humour and anger, but fails desperately.
Earlier this evening, the team of ‘Dishoom’ released the trailer of the film. Helmed by Varun’s brother Rohit Dhawan, the film has its backdrop in match fixing scandal.
The trailer starts off with the kidnapping of Viraj Sharma and the film is pretty much about it. The trailer will release across 550 PVR screens in India.

Varun and John, are undercover agents on a quest to bring Viraj home. In the trailer, John is seen being the one in charge while Varun, tries hard to not be the second fiddle; and ends up being that. While John dons stubble, Varun’s clean shaven avatar doesn’t quite go well with the role.
Cine buffs who loved Varun’s avatar in Badlapur, be sure that you’ll miss it in this one too. Somehow, Varun’s boyish charms doesn’t quite gel with the film’s idea.
The movie has Jacuqline Fernandez in the lead and from the look of the trailer, she tries to impress, but doesn’t. It also features Akshaye Khanna, who has been absent from silver screen from quite a long time.
