Varun Dhawan and John Abraham starrer, ‘Dishoom’ has done a fairly good enough business on its first day. The Rohit Dhawan directorial earned Rs 11.05 crore on its release day.

With such an amazing collection, ‘Dishoom’ has made it to the list of 10 top openers of this year. It is now on the sixth position, beating Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Udta Punjab’ which had minted Rs 10.5 crore on release day.

Here is what trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the collections.

The movie released in reportedly 3,000 screens and given its start, the numbers will take a jump on Saturday and Sunday. Also, the movie is facing little to no less competiton from Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ and Irrfan Khan’s ‘Madaari’. However, down south it still faces stiff competition from superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’. ‘Kabali’ is reportedly nearing the Rs 300 cr mark in India.

‘Dishoom’ is being touted as a complete entertainer something which attracted audience to the theatres. Though critics said that the plot is cliché, the bond of John and Varun has received thumbs up.
